The Quiet Mountain Fire was called into dispatch on August 18th, 2022 around 8PM. The fire was burning near shields creek and spotted from HWY 42 near the top of Camas Mountain. Access to the fire was off of Quiet Mountain Lane. Crews from Tenmile RFD, DFPA, and Camas Valley Volunteer Fire responded to the fire and worked through the night to control and supress the fire. The scene was turned over to DFPA in the early morning hours, who worked to contain and mop-up the fire into the following days.
