Val has been a resident of Tenmile for more than 40 years. She has served as an elected board member in different capacities since 1986 , and is currently the board chairman.
The chair most commonly performs the following functions: Serves as the contact point for every board member on board issues, directs each board meeting, and sets goals and objectives for the board and ensures that they are met.

Tenmile Rural Fire District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Tenmile Rural Fire District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
